Thank you, Marisol, for such exquisite writing married with thought-provoking imagery. There is so much to take in and ruminate on. So much expressed that mirrors what I’m feeling. May we continue to “light each other’s way.” Thank you for lighting my way today.🌟
Pregnant with feeling, these words, for these times. The hope and the angst sided by side. I'm happy to walk next to you and not feel so alone in my fears or in my dreams for better . . . we can all do better.
I feel like I just sat by a brook and listened. You do wonderful art with words, they seem to splash and burble. Thank you for them all, I'm becoming a we.
In the body, the interstitial spaces are where critical exchanges of information take place. Like your liminal spaces, the space between us, the sacred space of possibility. Where the next thing hasn’t happened yet, and what comes next depends on how we orient towards one another or not.
I noticed your mention of illness. May health and wellbeing carry the day. And also may the experience of illness be a doorway to being deeply supported and held in a time of coming apart.
Every line of every verse resonates! How could it not? Thanks so much Marisol for offering wisdom, reflection and guidance. There's so much here to muse on. For every poem, haiki, intention speaks loudly to the heart of this hairy, holy human! ❤️
Some time ago, in a conversation with my daughter, she told me of a workshop she'd attended, where everyone was supposed to introduce themselves "with their pronouns"...
I thought about it for a couple of seconds and replied, "I would have said, my pronouns are we/us/ours."

These are beautiful, Marisol.

With its ups, downs, doubts,
serious illness challenge most.
Sooner or later.
It's the spaces in between where the magic is found.
Hate is hard for some of us to understand or relate to. Guess it exists, tho seems self-defeating.
Hate, self-defeating
helps no one, hurts every one.
Love, win-win for all. 😊

Some time ago, in a conversation with my daughter, she told me of a workshop she'd attended, where everyone was supposed to introduce themselves "with their pronouns"...
I thought about it for a couple of seconds and replied, "I would have said, my pronouns are we/us/ours."
She laughed.
I meant it, seriously.
Preferred pronoun: We.
