"Everlasting not, ferns, food, family, friends, foes. Organisms, ores." That line struck me deeply. It's a stark reminder of the impermanence of everything. We get so caught up in the day-to-day, in our fleeting concerns, that we forget the bigger picture. Everything is in flux, constantly changing, dissolving, and reforming. It’s a bit like watching a river; the water is always moving, and yet it’s always a river. This recognition of impermanence can be unsettling, but it can also be liberating. It frees us from the illusion of control and allows us to appreciate the present moment.
Marisol, your verses pulse with the heartbeat of the planet itself - urgent, reverent and deeply felt. Thank you so much for weaving such a beautiful and poetical tribute to Mama Gaia, reminding us to listen, care and act before Her echoes fade. 💚
This is simply lovely. My favorite part:
The natural world,
flora, fauna, includes us.
Full of surprises!
She opened the door.
And right there, surprisingly,
she found joy, disguised.
Our amazing world. Free to read, enjoy.

Will our advanced brain
turn ‘mankind’ to ‘human kind’?
May we play our part.

It’s impermanent.
Sometimes clear, at times cloudy.
Weather, water, us.
Gorgeous, the photos and every word. Thank you.
Thanks bow, friend Paulette.
Gorgeous messy life and world.
Glad we resonate.

Glad for resonance.
Expansive pics, inclusive words.
You, present here, there,
fellow tree-hugger fellow.
Tucked in this nest, heart.
A witch of words
From awe to us that links winks
An ode to the earth 🌀💝
Oh, northern neighbor~
Thanks for YOUR words, and our link--
Earthy witchy wink! 😉
Us. All of this moved me deeply, but that stanza especially. You have such a way. Wise, warm, wondrous you! Happy Earth Day. We are her and she is us.
Wise kind Bell rings bell:
‘We are her and she is us.’
Thanks bow for your love~
Wondrous wounded world,
weary, worried wanderers.
Words, work for our woes.
I envy your prolific writing ability
Seeds, seedlings, shrubs, trees,
they simply do what they do.
Why compare our gifts?
Lovely, I really liked the “us” stanza. Very gentle and compelling
Andy knows all falls.
Falling, fallen, failing serve.
Earth Day greetings, friend~
For far away Tom, roofless hymns ancient and modern , the rhyming wind shall blow our top-knot off.
Will we learn in time?
Our human hubris humbled?
Greetings across seas~
Where the wind lists. Perhaps stroll upriver again in the meadows of time, the fair field.
Greetings.
May our spirit sync
‘Great Spirit,’ ‘Holy Spirit.’
Play role well in play.
...
May we learn from past,
history in the making.
Forge for fine fair fields?
Poetry is in the wings, 'in the verisimilitude of a dream'.
They wait in the wings,
winged poetry, dreams... until
burst into the scene!
Thank you for the kind mention, Marisol.
Beautiful series of haiku. I especially liked this one under "Awe*"
"Wild ecosystems,
astonishing mysteries.
Real masterpieces."
Earth Day greetings, Neil~
Your posts, a weekly homage.
Thanks for the restack!
An excellent haiku reply!
Earth, extraordinary and eloquent in Her art,
Essential yet endangered - a call to do our part.

Poet Deborah
sums in two verses whole post.
Blessings across seas.
We are one breath, life, love.
Resonance with Jules~
Us, Earth, breath, being, here, life, love.
All are one is all.
